The organization’s commitment to serving the community and its nonprofit status exemplify its dedication to its mission.
Through its global network and diverse reach, GBO endeavors to make a positive impact on the lives of those in distress, leveraging the collective strength and resources of Bhutanese communities scattered across the world. By working together and pooling their efforts, GBO strives to provide assistance, support, and aid to those who require it the most, fostering a spirit of unity and compassion among Bhutanese individuals worldwide.
The formation of Global Bhutanese Organization (GBO) arose from a critical need to address the education of over 1500 children in the Bhutanese Refugee camp located in the Eastern part of Nepal. The education of these children is now in jeopardy as their sponsors are gradually withdrawing their support from the camp. In response to this urgent situation, GBO was created by resettled Bhutanese individuals living in various countries across the world.
GBO is collaborating closely with the Camp Management Committee (CMC) and Early Childhood Education (ECDC) to find viable solutions for meeting the educational requirements of the children in the refugee camp. By pooling their efforts and resources, GBO aims to create learning opportunities and support the development of these young minds.
In this critical endeavor, GBO humbly appeals to all Bhutanese individuals worldwide to come forward and contribute whatever support they can provide. Your contributions, whether financial, educational, or advocacy efforts, can make a significant difference in securing a better future for these children.
Together, let us unite as a global community of Bhutanese, standing in solidarity to ensure that no child’s education is left behind. Your support can be the beacon of hope that brightens the lives of these young refugees and empowers them to shape a promising future for themselves and their communities.
